Steve Chen is an internet entrepreneur most know for being a co-founder of YouTube. He has also been a Chief Technology Officer, built MixBit and joined Google Ventures, in 2014. Steven Chen stayed with YouTube as its Chief Technology Officer. He was born in August 25th in 1978. He is now 43 years old and was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He has 2 children. For his education, he went to the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and worked on a course in computer science.

In 1988, he dropped out of college and worked in the tech industry in California. He worked at, Confinity, which was the company that would soon become Paypal. Paypal is where Steve met the co-founders of YouTube. Whilst working at Paypal, Steve, Jawed and Karim met up and talked about ideas to start a business, which came to the conclusion of them starting up YouTube.

In 2009, he left the company of YouTube and started a new company called AVOS systems with Chad Hurley. Then he joined Nom Lab which Chen was a founder and chief technology officer for. The website then closed down in 2017. Steve now lives in Taipei, Taiwan with his family.
